Kilim Geoforest Park

Kilim Geoforest Park is one of the finest geoforests in Southeast Asia, located in the northeastern part of Langkawi Island. The park encompasses extensive mangrove ecosystems, dramatic limestone and karst formations, as well as various lagoons and river streams that create a stunning natural landscape. The main experience at Kilim is through boat tours lasting approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, taking visitors along the river amidst the mangroves. Throughout the journey, visitors have the opportunity to spot various wildlife species including fish, prawns, and shorebirds. The towering karst formations along the riverbanks provide a perfect backdrop for nature photography. Among the main attractions are the famous Blue Lagoon with its calm and clear waters, and Bat Cave housing colonies of bats and swiftlets. Visitors can also visit the Mini Mangrove Zoo featuring local wildlife in their natural environment. For a culinary experience, there is a floating restaurant located along the river where visitors can enjoy fresh seafood while taking in the surrounding natural scenery. Other activities include fishing, wildlife observation, and nature trekking along the available trails within the park.
